In 1982 , Tan Liuming, possessing exquisite casting skills, began producing miscellaneous copper and aluminum castings in a small family workshop. Following Deng Xiaoping's southern tour in 1984 , he astutely sensed a business opportunity. In 1986 , Horisun ventured into the production of household gas stove burners, supplying OEM products to leading gas stove brands, making it one of the earliest entrepreneurs in China to engage in gas appliance manufacturing. Building upon its accumulated miscellaneous casting technology, it laid the foundation for sand-cast burner manufacturing. Excellent service and a strong reputation made Horisun the first professional OEM manufacturer in China to produce cast copper stove burners.
In 1988 , Hopson successfully avoided the impact of the first Asian financial crisis, launched a new strategic layout, increased production capacity, and fully entered the production of specialized burners. Hopson products have become an important choice for supporting production of well-known domestic gas appliance brands, and its production scale ranks among the industry leaders.
In 1991 , Horisun began expanding beyond China, engaging in technical exchanges with Japan and Taiwan, and introducing advanced forging equipment from developed countries. This transformed traditional sand casting into mechanical hot forging, enabling the production of burners using forging technology. The use of this new technology to produce flame distributors filled a domestic gap, marking Horisun's entry into an era of specialized and large-scale production. In 1996 , Horisun pioneered the comprehensive introduction of CNC machining equipment, and after sophisticated processing, Horisun products achieved a monopolistic position in the high-end product market.
